KUWAIT CITY, June 3: His Highness the Amir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al- Jaber Al-Sabah received on Monday a cable from Chief of the Kuwait National Guard (KNG) Sheikh Salem Al-Ali Al-Sabah, congratulating him on the occasion of appointing His Highness Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah as Crown Prince. Meanwhile, Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdullah Al-Yahya congratulated on Monday His Highness Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah on being appointed as Crown Prince by His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. The Foreign Minister wished His Highness the Crown Prince success in his post, which would increase Kuwait’s prosperity and development.

Kuwaiti Minister of Justice, Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Dr. Mohammad Al- Wasmi on Sunday congratulated His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al- Mubarak Al-Sabah on winning the trust of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah by naming him as Crown Prince. A press release by the governate said that Sheikh Abdullah Salem Ali sent a congratulatory cable to His Highness the Crown Prince, wishing him good health and success. Governor of Hawally Ali Salem Al-Asfar congratulated on Sunday His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah on assuming office. A press release by the governate said that Ali Al-Asfar sent a congratulatory cable to His Highness the Crown Prince wishing him good health and success.

His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Mubarak Al- Sabah received on Monday a phone call from the Father Amir of Qatar Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al-Thani, congratulating him on being appointed as Crown Prince by His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, wishing him and his people further progress and development. In return, His Highness expressed his utmost appreciation, wishing him good health and Qatar further progress and prosperity. The Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi Sheikh Khaled bin Mohammad Al-Nayhan congratulated in a call on Monday His Highness Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah on being appointed as Crown Prince by His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. Secretary General of OPEC Haitham Al- Ghais congratulated on Monday His Highness Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah on being appointed as Crown Prince by His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al- Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. In a statement to KUNA, Al-Ghais also conveyed congratulations from members of OPEC. The United States congratulated late Sunday His Highness Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah on being appointed as Crown Prince, wishing Kuwait’s and its people further progress and development. In a press statement, State Department spokesman Mathew Miller said “The United States congratulates His Highness Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Sabah for his appointment as the new Crown Prince of Kuwait.” “His Highness Sheikh Sabah has a distinguished background of public service for his country, which includes previously serving as the Prime Minister and the Foreign Minister, he added. “The United States values our strategic partnership with the State of Kuwait.
