LOS ANGELES, Jan 20: Actress Ashley Park, renowned for her role as Mindy Chen in the popular Netflix series “Emily in Paris,” is expressing gratitude as she recuperates from a severe septic shock incident during her holiday with co-star and boyfriend, Paul Forman.

Park disclosed that she was moved from the Maldives to Dubai for treatment following the health emergency. In a recent Instagram Story on Friday night, she shared a bedside photo and extended thanks to those who supported her and Forman during this challenging time.

The actress specifically acknowledged @parkhyattdubai, @iamsonalvara, and @iamashparmar for providing accommodation for Forman close to the hospital in Dubai, which was crucial for her extensive care. She expressed gratitude for the assistance during a period when Forman couldn’t sleep in the ICU and for providing both of them a home while she underwent treatment outside the hospital but wasn’t medically cleared to travel.

In a carousel of images and videos posted on Friday, Park chronicled her hospitalization and recovery process, revealing that what began as tonsillitis during her holiday escalated into a critical septic shock, impacting several organs. Despite initial concerns, she conveyed gratitude for the improvement in her health.

Park, aged 32, expressed deep gratitude to the ICU nurses and doctors who worked tirelessly during her recovery. She acknowledged the Joali Being resort for immediate response and continuous support, providing language translations when needed.

In a heartfelt note, Park praised her partner, 29-year-old Paul Forman, for being an unwavering source of support throughout the challenging period. Although hesitant to share her story amid recovery, she confirmed being safely on the other side of the worst.

Fellow “Emily in Paris” co-star Lily Collins, who plays the lead in the series, responded to Park’s health update with emotional comments, expressing love and gratitude for Park’s recovery and Forman’s steadfast presence. Collins eagerly anticipated the day they could share a hug.
