Bedoun held over bid to stab securityman KUWAIT CITY, May 30: Police are looking for five unidentified persons for assaulting and stabbing a GCC citizen in the back and shoulder during a fight at an entertainment hall in Khaitan, reports Al-Rai daily. As soon as the Operations Room of Interior Ministry received a call from the victim’s brother, police rushed to the spot and found the victim bleeding. He was rushed to the intensive care unit of the Farwaniya Hospital. The victim’s brother has filed a complaint with the Khaitan Police Station. During interrogation the victim said he does not know either the suspects or why he was stabbed. Meanwhile, a bedoun who attempted to stab a securityman on duty has been arrested and referred to the concerned authorities, reports Al- Rai daily. This happened when a police patrol on duty ordered the bedoun to pull over but he stepped on the gas pedal and attempted to escape. When he was forced to pull over, he got out of the car and walked towards the police and in swift movement pulled out the knife and attempted to stab the officer. He was overpowered and police snatched the knife from his hands and handcuffed him. During interrogation police discovered he does not carry any ID. Police also discovered he was under medication for treatment of depression.
