KUWAIT CITY, Jan 8: A fire erupted on Monday at the Tokyo residence of the late former Prime Minister Kakuei Tanaka, as confirmed by local authorities. Fortunately, there have been no immediate reports of injuries or individuals trapped within the premises, according to the police. The emergency response was initiated after authorities received a call reporting smoke near the residence located in the Bunkyo Ward of the capital around 3:20 p.m.
Firefighters are actively engaged in efforts to quell the blaze, which originated in the two-story house situated approximately 450 meters from Waseda Station along the Tokyo Metropolitan Government-operated Toden Arakawa Line. The situation is currently being managed by emergency responders as they work to control and contain the fire at the former Prime Minister's residence.
