KUWAIT CITY, Nov 20: A young Kuwaiti woman who filed a false complaint against a compatriot man accusing him of having a relationship with her and promising to marry her, was forced to sign a pledge of good conduct after it became clear during interrogations that the woman was trying to blackmail the victim, reports Al-Anba daily.

The woman allegedly claimed that she suffers from mental disorders and repented what she had done saying ‘I don’t know why I did what I did.’

According to a security source, the Operations Room of the Interior Ministry received a call from an elderly citizen who claimed his young son was being blackmailed by a young woman who was demanding 2,000 dinars to let him go.

This happened when the young man went to rescue her after seeing her ‘drunk’ inside a parked car. When at the police station she was asked to prove her charges against the young man she could not and when she was told she is facing extortion charges she began to cry and said she was suffering from psychological disorders. The elderly Kuwaiti said she must be interrogated to find out if she has cheated anyone in similar manner
