GURUGRAM, Jan 4, (Agencies): On Tuesday night, a 27-year-old woman named Divya Pahuja, (ex-model) was purportedly murdered in suspicious circumstances at a Gurugram hotel, according to the Indian police.

The alleged perpetrator, identified as Abhijeet Singh, the proprietor of City Point Hotel where the incident occurred, is said to have orchestrated the killing.

Gurugram Crime Branch has arrested three individuals in connection with the case, including the prime suspect Abhijeet, as well as his associates Prakash and Indraj, both former employees of Abhijeet's hotel.

Reports suggest that Abhijeet, in collaboration with his accomplices, is accused of carrying out the murder and subsequently paying Rs 10 lakhs to his associates for the disposal of Divya's body.

The individuals involved, including Abhijeet, were observed escaping the scene in a blue BMW car, with Divya's body in the car booth.

The entire incident was captured on CCTV cameras. Footage reveals Abhijeet, the victim, and another person arriving at the hotel reception around 4 am on January 2 (Tuesday) and proceeding to room number 111. Later in the night, Abhijeet and others were captured dragging Divya's lifeless body.

Additional CCTV footage illustrates the three suspects transporting Divya's body, wrapped in a sheet, from the hotel to the BMW car at 10:45 pm on Tuesday.

The motives for Divya’s murder are yet to be identified.
