Egyptian taxi driver threatened, robbed

KUWAIT CITY, June 12: Police are looking for an unidentified person for threatening to kill an Egyptian taxi driver and robbing his money, reports Al-Rai daily.

The daily added, the taxi driver saw a man standing on the roadside by a broken down vehicle on the second day of Eid al-Fitr and the man asked for help. He requested the driver to take him to Abdali and waited for someone to arrive with his needs.

He then got in the back seat behind the driver and put a knife to the driver’s neck and threatened to kill him if he made a false move and ordered him to go to a farm and waited in an open area until another man arrived with a bag containing bottles of alcohol.

The man then ordered him to drive him to Sabah Al-Nasser, stole his wallet containing 50 dinars and escaped. When he filed a police complaint, securitymen went to the place from where the Egyptian picked up the suspect and discovered the broken down car is registered in the name of a Kuwait. Police are investigating to identify the suspect
