Egyptian arrested for stealing cables from power transformers

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 21: The security authorities have arrested an unidentified 33-year-old Egyptian expatriate in connection with the theft of state property, reports Al-Anba daily. A security source said the arrest came after a bedoun security guard keeping watch on a government establishment saw a person moving suspiciously near a power transformer and informed the Operations Room of the Ministry of Interior and caught the suspect red-handed stealing cables and found in his possession tools he used to cut cables and inside his car some of the stolen cables. The man has been detained at the Sulaibiya Police Station. He will be interrogated to find out if he was the one who had stolen the cables some time ago.
