‘Don’t chase, just take number plates of car’

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 21: Assistant Undersecretary for Public Security Affairs in the Ministry of Interior Major General Sheikh Faisal Al Nawaf issued a circular directing all security directorates in the six governorates to desist from chasing motorists except for exceptional cases.

The circular directs all security directorates to take the number plate only if the need be, and secure permission from the Operations Sector before taking any action.

Meanwhile, Assistant Undersecretary of Interior Ministry Lieutenant General Sheikh Faisal Al Nawaf paid a visit to the General Criminal Evidence Department affiliated to Criminal Security Affairs to examine the remains of the missing Kuwaiti prisoners of war, which were received from Iraqi Authorities recently, in the DNA laboratory.

He was welcomed by high ranking security officials. At the end of the tour, Lieutenant General Al-Nawaf extended appreciation to employees at the Criminal Evidence Department for their efforts.
