Doctor and wife were murdered in a grisly homemade bomb attack.

SYRIA, Oct 2, (Agencies): A gruesome crime occurred in the province of Hama in central Syria, claiming the lives of a doctor and his wife. They were targeted by gunfire and a homemade bomb detonated by the husband of their daughter. The Syrian Ministry of Interior has provided details of the incident in a statement, announcing the death of Dr. Issam Housha and his wife and the injury of their two sons due to gunfire and the detonation of a bomb in their home by their daughter's husband.

The ministry stated: "On September 30, 2023, at 3:30 PM, a report was received by the police in the Al-Ghab region of Hama from Al-Sqeilbiyah National Hospital about the deaths of Dr. IssamHousha and his wife, both suffering severe injuries, and their two sons, Ziyad and the daughter's husband, Hamad. They sustained injuries with shrapnel scattered throughout their bodies."

It further added: "Immediately, patrols from the Al-Ghab Police and the Criminal Security Center headed to the location. In the initial investigation, it was revealed that the daughter's husband, Ahmed, had opened fire, thrown a handmade bomb, and detonated it in the home of Dr. Issam in the village of HoratAmurin, which falls under the Tel Selhab area of Hama, resulting in the tragic loss of the family members due to an apparent family dispute."

The statement concluded by stating: "The military rifle and three handmade bombs were seized from the scene, and investigations are ongoing."
