Customs seizes various types of ‘illegal weapons’ from travelers

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 31: The Acting Director General of the General Administration of Customs, Suleiman Al-Fahd, affirmed that personnel from the General Administration of Customs spare no efforts to prevent and confront any attempts to smuggle illegal weapons into the country, reports Al-Rai daily.

He added, within the framework of the strenuous efforts exerted by the customs personnel to prevent all types of contraband entering the country through its ports – land, sea and air – various types of weapons have been seized including cleavers, knives, pepper sprays, detonators, etc. Al-Fahd said in a press statement, knives were seized from passengers in addition to from air parcels, and were handed to the Ministry of Interior.
