Dr Issam Al-Rubaian, Chief Civil Service Commission

KUWAIT CITY, July 16: The head of the Civil Service Commission, Dr. Issam Al-Rubaian, announced that 1,600 citizens will be nominated for employment on Thursday. This brings the total number of candidates nominated for jobs this month to 8,500, a record number for the central employment system in a single month.

Dr. Al-Rubaian, in an exclusive statement to Al-Anba, stated that the new batch of nominees includes various specializations such as education, political science, and other fields.

"The nominations cover all registration periods up to the 86th period," Dr. Al-Rubaian explained. "This also includes the remaining stagnant engineering specializations, such as industrial, chemical, and petroleum engineering, as well as a few bachelor's and diploma holders who previously rejected nomination opportunities in hopes of new prospects."

Regarding the 1,210 engineers awaiting nomination in chemical, industrial, and petroleum specializations, Dr. Al-Rubaian mentioned that the number of engineers nominated depends on the needs received from ministries within the next 10 days, following the receipt of requirements from the Ministry of Health. He expressed optimism that sufficient needs will be received to cover all engineers on the waiting list.

The postponement of the nomination for certain specializations was intended to accommodate the needs of various work entities once their requirements were submitted.

Dr. Al-Rubaian concluded by noting that the new requirements sent to ministries include engineers in environmental safety, projects, and contracts specializations. Additionally, the nomination of engineers will coincide with the nomination of "assistant engineers" with diplomas, ensuring a comprehensive approach to addressing employment needs across different sectors.
