KUWAIT CITY, June 15: The Court of First Instance obligated a real estate company to return the money it received for the sale of a chalet located in Khairan to a Kuwaiti citizen as well as pay him compensation worth KD 4,000.

The plaintiff counsel Lawyer Ismail Dashti explained that his client had signed the contract with the company to buy a chalet for KD 75,000. The contract defined a deadline of July 2017 for the company to handover the chalet but the company did not commit to the defined deadline.

This caused material and moral damages to his client, as it prevented him from enjoying the sum of money during the period from signing the contract till present, and led to depression due to delay in receiving the chalet.
