Citations issued for unlicensed wedding halls

KUWAIT CITY, July 24: According to an informed source, the supervisory authorities in Ahmadi Municipality launched a campaign against unlicensed wedding halls in South Sabahiya area, which resulted in the issuance of 12 citations against violations, removal and impounding of electricity machines at the municipality’s impound site, reports Al-Qabas daily.

In a press statement, the source explained that the municipality, as part of its campaigns to implement the law against violations and remove the encroachments on state properties, carried out a campaign in South Sabahiya area on wedding halls. It was discovered that there are 12 halls operating without a license.

Their owners were warned, citations were issued, and machines were impounded. In the event that the owners of these halls do not apply for license or remove them, the municipality will remove them. Regarding food trucks deployed in private housing areas, and those that are unlicensed or operating in a location other than the locations that are permitted, the source said the supervisory authorities have started working on warning them, issuing citations, and removing and impounding them at the municipality impound site.

He stressed that the team from Ahmadi Municipality, with the cooperation of security services, issued 200 fines against unlicensed vehicles or those operating in locations other than those designated for them, adding that 27 food trucks have been impounded since the beginning of the campaign.
