MoF sets KD50 fee for issuing e-tax certificate

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 17: A breakthrough in the provision of government jobs for citizens with certain specializations will be witnessed soon, reports Al-Anba daily quoting sources. Sources disclosed there has been no movement in these jobs for a long time, because the ministries has had no need for such specializations. Sources pointed out these could be considered ‘frozen’ specializations. Sources said one of these specializations is Chemical Engineering, indicating that the Civil Service Commission (CSC) has asked some ministries to submit their manpower needs for such specialization. Sources added: “We are waiting for the manpower needs to be determined in April or May to pave way for the recruitment of chemical engineers for certain ministries like Public Works and Health.”

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Finance issued an administrative decision setting the fee for issuing a tax certificate electronically at KD 50, reports Al-Anba daily. In accordance with Administrative Decision No. 1422 for the year 2021 that is based on income tax decrees, laws, rules and directives; a new executive rule regarding electronic tax certificates will be added under No. 60, as part of the executive rules and instructions for Income Tax Decree No. 3 of 1955 amended by Law No. 2 of 2008. Executive Rule No. 60 stipulates in its first article that the fee for issuing tax certificates electronically is KD 50 for each certificate.
