Blatant waste of public money

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 9: A source at the General Administration of Facilities Security said it is surprising that several departments tend to dump equipment such as furniture and others worth tens of thousands of dinars, even though most of this equipment is repairable, reports Al-Anba daily.

The source indicated the facilities security yard resembles a ground for throwaways and this is waste of public money. The source pointed out that the administration employs hundreds of expatriate technicians who have the ability to carry out necessary repairs.

However these equipment’s are dumped and replaced by new upon a request from the Ministry of Interior. The source stressed most of the dumped items are repairable and can be re-used. The source expressed hope the officials will work to protect public money.
