Bid to smuggle cigarettes foiled

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 19: The Nuwaiseeb customs officers recently foiled the attempt of a Gulf citizen to smuggle out of the country 1,300 cartons of cigarettes, reports Al- Rai daily.
The cigarettes and the vehicle have been seized and the suspect has been referred to the authorities. A customs source has warned all those who attempt to smuggle prohibited items in violation of customs laws. The source said all that a person can carry with him/her are two cartons of cigarettes maximum.
