Sources said that most of that water is usually not clean, but rather contains bacteria and viruses, sprinkling it on the eyes causes many serious injuries, some people go beyond the limit by adding substances, such as foam and other harmful liquids into that water, which affects the eye with irritation and become extremely sensitivity.

Al-Kandari explained that the strong pressure of some water guns may injure the eye, and that the use of balloons containing stones or solid materials may cause permanent eye impairment, bleeding and loss of sight.

He pointed out that the number of patients complain of injuries in the eyes, especially children, doubles during the national holidays period, and the injuries range from light to strong, leading to cases that have already suffered blindness.
