Bangladeshi trio caught stealing iron, run over, kill Egyptian man preventing their escape

KUWAIT CITY, July 22: The criminal security sector has closed a very complicated and mysterious case, complicated because of lack of sufficient evidence and the place where the crime was committed, reports Al-Anba daily.

The daily quoting security sources said the crime was committed in a dark, uninhabited area. However, the security authorities had taken into custody three Bangladeshis for deliberately running over an Egyptian working in a farm in Wafra.

A security source said the Ahmadi detectives succeeded in arresting the three men working for the Kuwait Municipality after they confessed to committing the crime.

However, during interrogation they said they did not kill the man but accidentally ran over him as the victim chased their vehicle after he caught them stealing iron.

The vehicle that was used by the trio to run over the victim is in police custody and has been referred to the Forensic Medicine department to ascertain it was the same vehicle to commit the crime.

It is noteworthy to mention here the Egyptian was murdered on July 7, and a number of lawyers and the employer of the victim had volunteered to solve the mystery. The sponsor through the newspapers had volunteered to pay the lifetime salary of the person who comes forward with concrete evidence.

According to a security source the detectives were gathering evidence and monitoring the place where the crime was committed. The source added police suspected the 3 men riding in a vehicle and following more investigations it was confirmed that the three Bangladeshis working in Kuwait Municipality were behind the crime.

The source during interrogations said the men confessed that they were stealing iron and the victim tried to prevent them and during their escape, they ran over him by mistake, according to their claim. The victim was newly married and is the father of a child he has not seen.
