Bachelors Evicted as Power Cut to Properties in Rumaithiya, Salwa, and Salmiya

KUWAIT CITY, May 21: The Public Relations Department of the Kuwait Municipality announced that inspection teams from the Engineering Audit and Follow-up Department in Hawalli Governorate are continuing their field visits as planned. These inspections are being carried out under a pre-arranged timetable, in cooperation with relevant government bodies such as the Ministry of Electricity and the Ministry of Interior.

As part of ongoing efforts to enforce residential housing regulations, the Municipality reported a power outage in five properties housing bachelors in the areas of Rumaithiya, Salwa, and Salmiya. These actions are in line with the legal provisions that prohibit single individuals from residing in designated family residential zones.

The Municipality has urged citizens and residents to support these enforcement efforts by reporting cases of bachelors living in family neighborhoods. Reports can be made through several channels: by calling the hotline at 139, sending a WhatsApp message to 24727732, or submitting a written complaint to the director of the municipality branch in the respective governorate. Authorities will respond to these reports by taking the necessary regulatory action.
