KUWAIT CITY, Sept 8: The latest weekly statistics from traffic campaigns have revealed significant enforcement activities and traffic incidents. During the period from August 31, 2024, to September 6, 2024, authorities recorded a total of 50,557 traffic violations. The campaign led to the seizure of 128 vehicles and 25 motorcycles, which were placed in the impoundment garage. Additionally, 159 vehicles linked to theft or judicial cases were confiscated.

In law enforcement actions, 23 wanted individuals were arrested for various offenses, including absence, expired residence permits, and outstanding arrest warrants. Five individuals were detained without proof and referred to the appropriate authorities, while 66 juveniles were directed to the Juvenile Prosecution for further action.

The Operations Department reported receiving 2,977 reports and recording 1,363 traffic accidents. This included 1,101 collision accidents and 262 accidents involving collisions and injuries.
