KUWAIT CITY, Aug 5: An Asian expatriate was arrested in Salwa area in possession of one kilogram of heroin and 50 grams of crystal meth. According to security sources, when the Drugs Control General Department received information about an Asian expatriate involved in drug peddling, a team was formed for investigations.

An undercover agent was sent to the suspect to purchase two grams of heroin. During the transaction, the suspect was caught red-handed. They checked him to find one kilogram of heroin and 50 grams of crystal meth. He was arrested and referred to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action.

Bottles of imported liquor seized.

Over 700 bottles of imported liquor seizedA Bedoun man was arrested in Kabad area in possession of 720 bottles of imported liquor. According to security sources, when Mubarak Al-Kabeer securitymen received information about a Bedoun man selling liquor in Kabad area, they sent an undercover agent to him to buy 5 bottles of imported liquor worth KD 600.

During the transaction, the suspect was arrestged in possession of 715 more liquor bottles. He was referred with the liquor bottles to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action.

Meanwhile, securitymen raided a liquor factory in Salwa area and confiscated 685 bottles of locally manufactured liquor and 53 barrels which were used for manufacturing liquor. Reportedly, when securitymen received information about an apartment being used as a liquor factory, they took necessary legal measures to raid the apartment.

No one was in the apartment at the time of the raid. Securitymen referred the confiscated items to the concerned authorities and have launched investigations to find and arrest the culprits.By Munaif Nayef Al-Seyassah Staff
