Arab man caught selling subsidized goods in Jleeb

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 19: Personnel from the Criminal Security Sector affiliated to the Ministry of Interior have arrested an Arab in the suburb of Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh for selling food supplies subsidized by the state, reports Al-Anba daily. The arrest came after the Mubarak Al-Kabeer Investigation Department received a tip-off about the sale. After the suspect was arrested, he led police to a warehouse where similar food supplies were stored which included oil, rice, lentils, milk tins and several other items.

During interrogation the suspect admitted that he was selling them at a high profit. The goods have been seized and the suspect has been referred to the authorities to investigate how he got access to the subsidized stuff.
