RAMALLAH, Oct 11: Palestinian Prime Minister's office announced approving a number of projects worth USD 5.7 million in occupied Jerusalem, provided by the Kuwait-based Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development (AFESD).


The funds are provided to different institutions specializing in health, culture, development and education, the office said in a statement Sunday.
The projects include developing the institutions' infrastructure, providing scholarships and youth developmental initiatives.


Yesterday, Prime Minister Mohammad Shtayyeh announced that AFESD will provide USD 1.2 million to support Palestinian hospitals in fighting the coronavirus.(KUNA)
