Business owners provided with user name: Al-Mutairi

KUWAIT CITY, May 10: The Public Authority for Manpower (PAM) and its current station in the Employment Affairs Sector at its headquarters in Jabriya, where anonymous volunteers are working tirelessly round the clock to complete transactions for business owners and expatriates.

Officials were seen working with vigor and vitality to accomplish the highest rate of transactions in a bid to contribute to the continuation of the development process despite the difficult circumstances in the country. These heroes have armed themselves with the necessary preventive measures in facing the dangers of the spread of coronavirus.

The first leg of the tour was in the office of Deputy Director General for the Labor Affairs Sector Abdullah Al-Mutawtah, who assured that the sector is keen on working with all sectors in the authority to process transactions of business owners and expatriates.

He said that work during the crisis is done through the integrated automated systems which operate remotely to complete all transactions and procedures related to migrant workers affairs, in addition to renewing the needs assessment online.

He explained that through an easier service activated free of charge for all business owners since the beginning of the official holiday due to the coronavirus, all transactions are accomplished without any delay. He said the labor departments in various governorates work through the internet to avoid delays in the completion of transactions.

He thanked all the anonymous volunteers working in the Labor Affairs Sector, including volunteers who work in the departments or through the electronic portal from their homes and all sectors for their dedication to work for Kuwait.

Meanwhile, Assistant Director of the Needs Assessment Unit Musaed Al-Mutairi revealed the Labor Affairs Sector succeeded in transferring all services from administrative work to electronic work, and efforts were coordinated to implement all procedures with the company responsible for automating services.

He added the business owners were provided with a user name; affirming that specialized personnel are available to receive requests submitted through the ‘WhatsApp Business’ service, contact the employer and submit transactions to employers through the electronic portal. In addition, Director of Contracts and Governmental Projects Department Bassem Al-Enezi confirmed coordination between all departments of the Labor Affairs Sector under the supervision of the deputy director general for Labor Affairs to facilitate all procedures and complete transactions of business owners during the crisis.

He said the sector has been able to ensure the flow of work without any delay, indicating the Government Contracts Department resumed work in the administration building on March 26 to complete the procedures for the final cancellation of travel for workers registered under a completed government contract.

The administration works from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm, Saturday to Thursday, even during the holy month of Ramadan. Employees in the labor departments expressed their willingness to work round the clock to complete the transactions, stressing that they will continue to work in difficult circumstances, as Kuwait deserves such dedication.
