KUWAIT CITY, Jan 6: Alghanim Industries, one of the largest private companies in the region, joined the judging panels for the Capstone Business Project Competition at the American University of the Middle East (AUM).

Tom Hatton, Senior Director-Talent Management and Organizational Development, and Satish Kadkol, Manager- Kirby Post-Sales Engineering, were invited to join the judging panels, representing Alghanim Industries.

Tom was a judge for the Capstone Business Project Competition, in which 8 finalist groups presented an idea for a new company. The students prepared their business plan, covering everything from financial analysis to a complete HR organizational structure. Satish was a judge for the Capstone Engineering Project Competition, which included 9 groups that had to come up with a new operational solution or process enhancement for an existing company. Each of the companies represented on the panel, including Alghanim Industries, will give one of the students from the winning team a month-long internship opportunity.

The presentations allowed students to showcase their creative, business driven ideas to a panel of well-respected executives from different companies. Alghanim Industries gives a special thanks to AUM for the invitation and looks forward to long, prosperous collaborations on similar initiatives moving forward.

It is part of Alghanim Industries’ strategy to find, encourage and educate future leaders about the company and provide them with the resources to make informative decisions related to their careers. In line with that strategy, Alghanim Industries participated in a number of events recently, namely the NUKS-USA conference in San Diego. Apart from NUKS, the biggest event gathering of Kuwaiti students outside of Kuwait, Alghanim Industries also took part in region-wide university career fairs.
