Actor Alec Baldwin fires prop gun killing one person, injuring director on movie set

WASHINGTON, Oct 22: One person was shot dead and another wounded Thursday evening when actor Alec Baldwin fired a prop firearm on the set of a movie in the state of New Mexico. According to a statement by the Santa Fe County Sheriff’s Office, the director of photography “was pronounced dead by medical personnel,” while Director Joel Souza, 48, is “undergoing treatment for his injuries.””An active investigation is still ongoing, and nobody has been charged in connection to the incident,” the statement added. “Detectives are investigating how and what type of projectile was discharged.” (KUNA)
