7 tons tobacco seized coming from UAE

KUWAIT CITY, April 16: Customs men at Shuwaikh port have seized a large amount of tobacco, estimated at 3 million bags, hidden inside a container coming from Jebel Ali Port, reports Al-Rai daily. The security sources said the customs men suspected the container coming from Jebel Ali Port and the bill of lading mentioned the cargo as “Clothes and Accessories” following which the container was sent to the customs warehouse and a search netted about 3 million bags of tobacco, with an approximate weight of 7 tons, hidden behind cartons of clothes and accessories.
