7 sites eyed to set up markets; Campsite areas reviewed

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 25: The Kuwait Municipality announced on Tuesday the identification of seven sites to be distributed to associations wishing to establish markets for them in the camps’ sites and to allow them to set up a spring camp, a recreational center or an amusement park for shareholders and pioneers. In a press release, the Municipality stated that the committee to update and study the sites of the spring camps stipulated, after a meeting with the concerned authorities and some representatives of cooperative societies, the distribution of those sites, provided that they adhere to the sites allocated by the committee and adhere to the area specified by the Municipality.

They explained that the meeting dealt with a number of topics on the agenda, such as reviewing the camp sites in preparation for their approval by the committee, emphasizing the cleanliness of camping sites and the general provisions and requirements for obtaining camp licenses. It indicated that the committee invited representatives of the associations to meet with them next Monday to choose the sites. It is noteworthy that the Committee for the Modernization and Study of Spring Camp Sites is coordinating with the concerned authorities in order to prepare, equip and provide amenities for land-goers, given the approaching spring camping season, which will start from November 15th until March 15th of next year.
