KUWAIT CITY, May 15: The Ministry of Interior is urging expats who have violated residency laws to utilize the allocated period to rectify their status within the specified timeframe.

Recently, 68 expats were apprehended for violating the Residency and Work Law across various areas, including Farwaniya, Al-Ahmadi, Mubarak Al-Kabeer, and the Shuwaikh Industrial Area. Those who failed to comply with the deadline for rectification in these regions faced legal consequences.

Efforts to enforce residency and labor laws have intensified, with ongoing inspection campaigns leading to the arrest of 43 violators in Farwaniya Governorate and the Shuwaikh Industrial Area. Additionally, a joint campaign conducted by the tripartite committee, alongside the Ministry of Commerce, resulted in the arrest of 25 violators in Al-Ahmadi and Mubarak Al-Kabeer Governorates, particularly targeting women's salons.

The Ministry of Interior emphasizes the importance for violators to seize the opportunity to either rectify their status or depart the country within the designated timeframe, which concludes on 6/17/2024, to avoid legal repercussions.
