651 new infections of coronavirus recorded in Kuwait

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 5: The Kuwait Ministry of Health announced 651 new coronavirus (COVID-19) infections in the last 24 hours, bringing the total to 69,425 while 3 deaths was reported the fatalities’ toll recorded was 468.

Out of 651 cases, 425 cases were of Kuwaiti nationals and 226 cases of non-Kuwaitis.

In terms of health zones, 219 cases in Ahmadi health area, 137 cases in Farwaniya health zone, 132 cases in Jahra health area, 84 cases in the Capital health region and 79 cases in Hawally health area.

Number of smears tested during the past 24 hours 4,550, with a total of 518601 examinations.
