Final registration to be 69th period from Dec 6 to 20
KUWAIT CITY, Sept 14: The number of those wishing to register with the Civil Service Commission to get a government job in the 68th period of employment, which began Friday, Sept 13, is 6,000 Kuwaitis, reports Al-Qabas daily quoting a CSC source.
The source in a statement to Al-Qabas said the number of those registered for employment in the government sector for this period, which extends to the current 27th is nearly 4,000 Kuwaitis including the university graduates who have studied abroad and have ratified their equivalent degrees in higher education during the past period.
Regarding the registration of Kuwaitis who had resigned from their government job, the source revealed that there are more than 400 registered last year in the central employment system – those who were serving in the military corps in the ministries of Defense and Interior, saying all of them are holders of university degrees.
The sources pointed out that most of those who had resigned had completed their studies while working simultaneously in their respective jobs after obtaining permission or without it through periodic or annual leave that allowed them to complete their studies, and then submitted their resignation and registered again for a civilian job.
Regarding the automated linkage between the CSC and the Public Institute for Social Security (PIFSS), the sources pointed out that in the past, the CSC had turned down the registration of approximately 2,000 military personnel who were registered in the Central Employment System before entering the military corps.
Regarding the periods of registration, the source said that the CSC had previously announced the scheduling of the registration of Kuwaitis wishing to work in the ministries, and government institutions, during four periods during the current year, which corresponds with the dates of graduation of students of the Public Authority for Applied Education and Training (PAAET), the Kuwait University and graduates of universities abroad, to ensure that it does not interfere with official holidays, the Holy Month of Ramadan or the Hajj season in order to allow all those who wish to register.
The sources concluded by saying the last period for registration in the Central Employment System will be the 69th period from Dec 6 to 20 this year.
