KUWAIT CITY, April 28: Personnel from the Criminal Investigations Department have arrested an Egyptian for trafficking in drugs, reports Al-Anba daily. The daily quoting security sources said the CID men acting on information set a trap for the man and caught him in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh while selling 50 gms of meth to a plainclothes police officer. Securitymen armed with a search warrant then raided the house of the suspect and seized a quantity of heroin, 500 grams of hashish, and 4,000 Tramadol pills in addition to KD 800 cash. During interrogation the suspect has admitted to the charge and said he was working for an inmate of the Central Prison. He also said the drugs were smuggled into the country by a truck driver from a neighboring country. The contraband and the trafficker have been referred to the Public Prosecution.
