32 out of 364 applicants appointed as power engineers in KNPC

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 29: A total of 364 candidates applied for the position of “Power Engineer” in Kuwait National Petroleum Corporation (KNPC). Among them, 196 candidates passed the English exam, 46 passed the specialization test and interview round, and 32 were eventually appointed based on the vacancies plan of KNPC, reports Al-Nahar daily.

According to a government document, which was issued in response to a parliamentary question, 122 applications were rejected because they did not have the minimum educational qualification, 19 were rejected because they did not meet the age condition, and 23 applications were rejected because they did not meet the condition related to specialization.

Meanwhile, acting Undersecretary of Ministry of Education Engr Yasin Al-Yasin has approved the decision to reshuffle the principals of secondary schools all across the country. The principals will resume in their new postings on Sunday when the Grade 12 students start their midyear exams, reports Al-Anba daily. According to an informed source, the ministry has notified the affected principals about their new postings. The principals were requested to adhere strictly to the rules and regulations in that regard.
