31 reckless drivers arrested for traffic violations and social media misconduct

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 23, (Agencies): On October 23, 2023, the General Criminal Investigations Department, represented by the Electronic Crimes Combat Department, apprehended 31 individuals who had engaged in reckless and inappropriate behavior on social media platforms. They had shared content that encouraged recklessness, endangered the lives of others, and intentionally violated traffic laws. These individuals have been referred to the appropriate authorities for legal action.

The General Department of Public Relations and Security Information stressed that the Criminal Security Sector, represented by the Electronic Crimes Combat Department, closely monitors various social media platforms. They track and report accounts that publish and document illegal activities, taking legal action against them. The security agency calls upon everyone to cooperate with the relevant security authorities to maintain a safe and responsible online environment while adhering to the law.
