‘30,000 Kuwaitis visit Austria yearly’

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 29: Austrian Ambassador to Kuwait HE Marian Warba affirmed the depth of diplomatic relations with Kuwait, which he described as “excellent, strong and close”, pointing to the good bilateral cooperation between the two countries in various fields, reports Al-Qabas daily. During the celebration of his country’s National Day at his residence in Al-Rawdah, which was attended by Deputy Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for European Affairs, Counselor Muhammad Hayati, and several foreign ambassadors accredited to Kuwait, the Austrian envoy revealed 30,000 Kuwaitis visit his country every year, expressing his great happiness at the European Union’s intention to grant visa-free entry to Kuwaitis visiting Austria and the Europeans traveling to Kuwait.

He went on to say, “Let us all hope that in 2024 at the latest, if not sooner, we will all benefit from this visa-free travel to Austria and Kuwait. We are confident that our people-topeople relationships will grow even more.” He pointed out that economic and trade relations are witnessing a steady growth, but there is a possibility to further enhance this, declaring the Austrian embassy’s readiness to assist in any further deepening of trade relations.
