KUWAIT CITY, Nov 15, (KUNA): Three parliamentary hopefuls quit the electoral race on Tuesday, leaving a total of 363 candidates contesting elections due on Nov 26, the Ministry of Interior (MoI) announced. In a statement, the MoI’s Department of Election Affairs noted that Ali Shmoh relinquished his candidacy in the First Constituency, while Saud Al-Samaka pulled out of the race in the Third Constituency and Saud Al-Adwani quit the race in the Fourth Constituency. Moreover, the latest withdrawals come a day after five candidates ended their bids for a seat in Parliament. As per election laws, candidates are permitted to drop out of the electoral race no later than a week before the date of elections.
