2,111 marriages and 1,238 divorces in 2 months

KUWAIT CITY, May 14: The latest statistics issued by the Department of Statistics and Research in the Ministry of Justice revealed that the number of marriages in the first two months of the current year reached 2,111; while the number of divorce cases in the same period totaled 1,238; the number of abdicative divorce (Khul’a) reached 153; the number of divorce through court verdict reached 224; irrevocable divorce cases reached 649; divorce with eyewitness cases reached 212 and marriages abroad reached 54 cases, reports Al-Qabas daily.
