174 Thai expats evacuated from Kuwait

KUWAIT CITY, May 24: The Embassy of Thailand in its effort to evacuate Thai citizens from Kuwait had set up registration service who wish to return back to Thailand.

174 Thai expats, some of those working for Hyundai Construction and other contracting companies whose work has been stopped due to curfew left Kuwait in morning at 10 am. From these 3 were residence violators who took advantage of amnesty laid by the Kuwait Govt during exemption period.


A private plane from Georgian aviation was arranged after completing all the related required procedures and formalities to operate the flight including a permit for civil aviation and others through the Kuwait and Thai foreign ministries.

Thailand had allowed 200 of its citizens to enter from abroad on daily basis, and now the number has been increased to 400 citizens daily.
