KUWAIT CITY, Feb 18: Amidst vigorous government endeavors and repeated societal demands to control the labor market and put an end to human trafficking, the concerned authorities have unearthed another company which has allegedly made fast money by bringing into the country 10,000 workers who have collectively paid approximately 20 million dinars to get a job in Kuwait, reports Al-Qabas daily.

According to the security sources, human trafficking was discovered when the security services received several complaints. The company allegedly brought into the country Bangladeshi workers and each one paid 2,000 dinars for the government contract and 500 dinars just for the sponsorship.

According to initial investigations the CEO of the company deals with the Bangladeshi representatives and they in turn deal with brokers involved in visa trafficking.

They share the spoils but the biggest share goes to the owners of the company who are said to have collected huge sums over the past two years. The sources stated the security authorities continue to investigate the case in cooperation with the concerned authorities. The sources also said a number of company officials have been summoned for interrogation.
