Wrong GTD info-providers face penalty

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 17: Informed sources at the Public Authority for Manpower (PAM) revealed that there is a tendency to punish those who provide incorrect information about vehicle registration through the authority’s website for selfish benefits such as to register the employees under the name of the company as drivers.

The sources told “Al-Seyassah” daily that some company delegates and employers provide incorrect information via authority’s website.

The sources confirmed that the new system links the Public Authority for Manpower with the General Traffic Department at the Ministry of Interior, so when submitting any information about vehicles and registering them, it becomes clear to the system whether these vehicles are actually registered under the name of the employer or not, and there are many who apply to register vehicles not registered in their name trying to circumvent the system in order to increase the number of workers under ‘driver’ designation.
