Woman accused of stealing goods worth KD 999 from co-op

KUWAIT CITY, April 6: A lawyer, representing the Rumaithiya Cooperative Society has filed a complaint with the Hawally police accusing an unidentified woman of stealing stuffs worth KD 999.385, reports Al-Anba daily. The lawyer has reportedly submitted CDs to support the charges but did not explain how the woman managed to leave the society premises without paying for the stuff or who allowed her to leave the place, or the nature of the stolen goods.

 ‘GTD employee involved’: Police are trying to solve the mystery of a Syrian and his son who left the country after sell-ing trailer trucks which they had bought on installments, reports Al-Rai daily. The daily added, the trucks are worth KD 1.4 million and before selling the vehicles, the suspects reportedly managed to get a letter from the General Traffic Department to show the trucks are owned by them. The security authorities have not ruled out the involvement of an employee from the GTD. The daily gave no further details.

284 traffic citations issued: A group of securitymen led by Acting Assistant Undersecretary for Public Security Affairs, Major-General Ibrahim Al-Tarrah organized a security campaign over the past 24 hours in the six provinces, reports Al-Rai daily. The campaigns resulted in issuing 284 traffic citations, arresting 316 people wanted by law.
