Woman abducted from near home, raped by two youths

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 4: An unidentified 27-year-old woman has filed a complaint with the Maidan Hawally Police Station accusing two young men of kidnapping and raping her, reports Al-Anba daily. The woman said she was kidnapped from outside her home, driven to an apartment in the area and ‘raped’. She added, the men have also stolen her cell phone. After raping her, she said, the men dropped her back from where they had picked her. The complainant has provided police full details about one of the rapists and the first name of the other.

Fake messages: A senior official of the Middle East Broadcasting Center (MBC) TV Channel has said some people are involved in a scam and have reportedly sent messages to scores of Kuwaitis congratulating them for winning prizes following the telecast of a program ‘Dream’ which offers cars to winners, reports Al-Rai daily.

The source added the fake text messages call upon the recipients to call certain phone numbers included in the message and then ask for personal information. The official said the text message also calls upon the recipients to claim their prize quickly and visit the MBC office in Andalus. The official has warned against this false text messages saying people could end up disclosing their banking information and lose money.
