KUWAIT CITY, March 31: According to statistic issued by Ministry of Health, 24 members of the Indian community in Kuwait are infected with COVID-19, reports Al-Rai daily.

According to informed sources, a matter of concern for the health authorities is that they have not been able to trace the source of these infections among this community, which is the biggest expatriate community in the country.

They revealed that the total number of Indians who contracted coronavirus from unknown sources has increased to 13 including seven cases that were announced on Monday.

Meanwhile, a number of staff members of the Physiotherapy Unit in Mubarak Hospital have been referred to Jaber Hospital for coronavirus testing after they came in contact with a coronavirus patient, reports Al-Qabas daily quoting informed sources.

They revealed that the woman had been receiving physiotherapy treatment at Mubarak Hospital for several days before discovering she was infected with coronavirus. The sources indicated that the head of the unit has requested Ministry of Health to fill the shortage in the unit following the referral of the workers to Jaber Hospital.
