Victor Badminton Academy holds 4th coaching tournament

Yellow team overall champions, Blue and Red team runners-up

KUWAIT CITY, April 9: The Victor Badminton Academy recently organized the fourth coaching tournament at the Al-Sahil Sports Club in Abu Halifa.

Over 100+ trainees at Victor participated in the tournament divided into four houses – Victor Red, Victor Blue, Victor Green and Victor Yellow. Victor Yellow grabbed the overall champions, Victor Blue were the runners-up and Victor Red came in as second runners-up.

The tournament was held for singles and doubles; singles had 12 different categories: Adults, Advance 1, Advance 2, Advance 3 – A, Advance 3 – Girls, Ladies, Intermediate 1 Boys, Intermediate 1 girls, Intermediate 2 Boys, Intermediate 2 Girls, Beginner Boys and Beginner Girls. In doubles competition there were 3 categories Adult + Advance 1, Advance 2 + Advance 3 and Intermediate 1 and Intermediate 2. All matches were played on knockout format.

Category/Ladies: Winner – Biji; Runner-up – Leena; Semifinalists – Maha, Poornima

Category/Intermediate 1 Boys: Winner – Benjose; Runner-up – Ratan; Semifinalists – Christino, Dhivin

Category/Intermediate 1 Girls: Winner – Preetha; Runner-up – Avneet; Semifinalists – Kezia Joseph, Srivarshini

Category/Intermediate 1 & Intermediate 2: Winners – Ratan & Harsh; Runners-up – Christino & Benjose; Semifinalists – Sreeram & Harshit; Mohammad & Amrish

The entire tournament was organized and conducted by the students of the academy with support from the coaches and parents of the academy. The prizes were given by the parents
