WASHINGTON, June 3 (KUNA) — The US Department of Transportation has ordered suspension of Chinese air carriers flights to and from the United States.
In a press statement on Wednesday, the department said that the move comes in response to the failure of the Government of the People’s Republic of China to permit US carriers to exercise the full extent of their bilateral right to conduct scheduled passenger air services to and from China.
It noted that this order will become effective on June 16, 2020.
