WASHINGTON, Sept 2: The US is strongly committed to supporting Saudi Arabia’s defense of its land and people, State Secretary Antony Blinken said on Thursday. Speaking to Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al-Saud, Blinken expressed “concern” over a recent drone attack by Houthi militants on the Saudi city of Abha, which wounded eight civilians, according to spokesperson Ned Price. The two countries are bound by a “longstanding strategic partnership,” the US top diplomat underlined during the discussions, which also focused on Afghanistan amongst other regional matters (KUNA)
