University doctor acquitted of indecent assault

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 26: The Court of Appeal recently upheld the verdict of the lower court and acquitted a university doctor from indecent assault on a female student inside his office at the university, reports Al-Anba daily.

The incident dates back to the beginning of the semester last year, when the student accused her university doctor of indecent assault after he lured her into his office under the pretext of answering the exam which she had missed during the previous semester.

The student claimed the doctor tried to lure her through eye gestures while answering the exam paper, which prompted her to refuse to complete the exam and hand him the paper. She added, when she tried to leave the room he tried to touch her body but she escaped.
