KUWAIT CITY, Nov 25: A Ukrainian expatriate was arrested for growing marijuana in his apartment, reports Al-Seyassah daily.
According to security sources, when the Criminal Investigations Department received information about the suspect’s drug activity, a team was formed for investigations.
After confirming the information and taking necessary legal measures, the team raided the suspect’s accommodation and discovered he had converted it into a conservatory for growing marijuana. The officers also found the seeds of the plant.
They arrested the suspect who confessed, when questioned, that he was growing marijuana to sell it. He was referred to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action.
The Criminal Security Sector stressed that it will continue to exert efforts for controlling illegal drug activities in the country for protecting youths and the society from the dangers.
