Two held as drugs found in truck

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 28: The customs officers in coordination with the General Administration of Land Border Security have seized 5 kilos and 300 grams of hashish and 3 kilos of alum (a kind of chemical drug), reports Al-Anba daily. The daily added, the seizure was made after the border security authorities received a tip-off that an incoming truck driver will attempt to smuggle drugs into the country.

When the truck arrived at the crossing point it was thoroughly checked and inspectors found the contraband neatly hidden inside one of the refrigerators of a private truck. Two people have been arrested in connection with the drugs and have been referred to the Personnel from the General Department for Drugs Control (GDDC) along with the contraband.
